In Brief: New intestacy rules aim to make things simpler and clearer

New rules to inheritance came into force on October 2014, the Inheritance and Trustees Powers Act 2014 has stipulated changes for both married couples and registered civil partnerships, where there are no children, and with children. These changes will affect the share of an estate received by spouse and children alike.
