In Brief: New landscape for later-life planning

The knock on effect of the new pension reforms could mean that some are put under pressure to unlock their retirement fund to help family members with their finances. Family issues include looking after adult children who still live at home, assisting an adult child to get onto the property ladder, or to provide some other financial support. However it is hoped that the changes will enable people to manage their savings, to plan for care in the future, and funding their retirement.
