Parents of over-16-year-olds are concerned that their off spring will find it difficult to get a secure job. Parents worry the qualifications won?t be valued in the workplace. Regardless of these fears 23% of parents are supporting their children financially during their further education. Whilst most parents feel it is part of their responsibility to support and financially assist their children in the work place, such as buying smart interview workwear, and paying for any additional training. Parents feel that the government could be doing more to help 25% feel the government could give more financial support to enter the job market. 30% feel that schools should be more active in assisting young people to get practical support for their future careers.
