Adults retiring in 2017 will face a further gap between men’s and women’s retirement income. The amount has grown by £1,000 in the last year, and according to research women will be £6,400 a year worse off. The average amount of annual retirement income for women this year is £14,300, £200 less than the average of 2016 at £14,500. If you are affected by a fall in your retirement income you could seek professional financial advice to help you plan for your retirement.
