Many more people intend to work for longer postponing retirement until later, nearly two in five aged 50 and over still in work predict that their health will be the main reason they retire. The two most significant factors affecting health for employees in the 50-plus age group – weight and diet. While employers must do more to promote health and well-being within the workplace employees should also be taking the necessary step to improve health through lifestyle changes.
