The proportion of working adults over the age of 65 has never been higher, 23 million plan to continue to work after age 65 and employers are finding that keeping more established workers comes with advantages. Keeping older workers employers have found that they retain a wider range of skills in the workforce when having a good mix of both young and older workers. Experience is still highly valued, as is loyalty and many older workers are able to coach or mentor their younger counterparts.
