Life expectancy is continuing to increasing the UK, which has led to an ever again population and a drastically altered economic landscape. According to the Office for National Statistics (ONS figures suggest that nearly a quarter will be 65 or over in 2042 which could lead to financial risk for both governments and defined-pension providers as the bill for social benefits increases.
