Britain is currently suffering from a skills shortage and as increased age is often coupled with health concerns sadly some bosses view older workers as a ‘hassle’ because of these possible health struggles. Despite this as many as 23 million workers plan to continue past the age of 65. Employers wishing to continue to benefit from more experienced workers will need to support by addressing areas like health, stress and workload. Older employees represent extensive knowledge and expertise that younger generations can benefit from.
