Statutory Sick Pay or (SSP), has been approved by the Government to be paid from day one rather than day four if your absent from work because you are self-isolating due to COVID-19. Should your illness not be related to coronavirus (COVID-19), you must be eligible for SSP and have been off work sick for four or more days in a row (including non-working days) to get SSP.
